It's really the repainter (Nathan) that we should thank for his great repaints,Ted (Snuffy) for working on replicating the 5th Bomb Wing Airbases(Not complete yet), Joel(Swindy) the historian,Tim McCord (for this website),Scott Gentile of A2A Simulations and his employees for the WOP II B-17 add on,Microsoft and Aces Studios for FSX and especially the 463rd BG Veterans for what they had to endure or sacrifice for what we have.I am just a 463rd kid who requested these repaints.

By the way what I decided to do was to order 6 extra copies each of the 1st and 2nd Pictoral CD's mostly for my brothers, sister and mom but also I ordered a copy for the repainter (Nathan) so he would have more detailed pictures to do the kind work for us all.
What I also finally decided to do was to sent him the pictures of the bombers,nose-tail art and crew pictures in separate emails so that he would have detailed pictures of the aircraft that he was painting.I figured that since he is going to get 2 Pictoral CD's which I will re mail to him in the U.K. that he would be able to help us sooner if he knew what he was painting.
So Joel I hope that this is all right by you.

From what I was told Vaudeville,It's coming back and Pandora's Box should be repainted and available pretty soon.

Jon,
I think its great that you are sending Nathan some CDs.  I will send you a couple of color pictures of 463rd B-17s that you can pass along to him too.

Volume 3 is about ready to go out.

The one plane in the foreground with the nose number 731 is #446731 - no known nickname.  The other olive drab plane I cannot find any distiguishing marking on.

Joel

Wow those are the first color pictures of 463rd BG B-17's that I have ever seen.
I mean EVER!
Thanks Joel.
He told me that he is doing 2 other 463rd B-17's as well.
I made an additional repaint request for a 463rd BG B-17 named "The Irish Orphans" since I feel that the 775th B.S. should be represented too.

Edit

- Ray the 463rd BG B-17 Vaudeville,It's coming back is finished and available for download thanks to the kind work of Nathan the repainter.
He wrote Vaudeville,is coming back on the first page of the download link but when I zoomed in on the picture it does say "Vaudeville It's coming back"
He just made a typo on the first download page so it's right.

On a sad note Ray has just mentioned to me in a recent email that his father passed away several days ago.You have our condolences here Ray and we understand the huge loss.

Well now Nathan has colorized over 20 463rd B-17's so far.
He even repainted the B-17 Wheel Wagon for you Joel since I saw a picture of your dad and crew in front of it.The WOP II add on doesn't have a PFF version but I thought that we could overlook this to include this aircraft.
I think that he needs to re-correct 2 repaints though The B-17 Never Satisfied and Our Bombay Baby.He wrote Never Satisfied on the nose and I've found a picture of the writing on her tail.On the B-17 Our Bombay Baby Nath painted the nude babe a blond but I think that she had either black hair or was a brunette.I asked him to keep the blond version up though and just have another version of Our Bombay Baby as a dark brunette. His repaints are not 100% accurate but he is doing a great job.We both liked the nude girl on Our Bombay Baby and I bet the aircrews back then really liked her too.She was probably a very popular ship.

Joel yes can you sent me the updated list of B-17's in the 463rd with names/lettering and or aircraft serial numbers in an email.I seem to have misplaced that list that you sent to me earlier.Since we are going through these repaints and studying more of the pictures in close detail I might possibly be able to match a name and number too if somehow this was overlooked.-Jon

He will be working on the other B-17's that you guy's mentioned. So far here are the B-17's with the 463rd BG that we have available to us so far.
WOP II add on already has the B-17 42-31684 The Joker with it.
Repaints
42-97550 "Lassie and her Lads"
42-31836 "Pig Chaser"
42-31844 "Swoose (1944 Model)"
44-6283 "Mary Lou/Betty Lou"
44-6700

My uncle, Thomas Tubman, was the pilot of the 44-6283 Betty Lou when it was shot down. I am not quite sure what you mean by repainted?
