I recently found out about my great uncles service to our country and i was amazed at how much info i found. as far as i know all the members of his crew are deceased. he was in b17 42-31804 part of the "Gowen Crew". Their plane went down May 10,1944. I found one photo online but its the only pic ive ever seen of him. If someone could help meout i would greatly appreciate. I am young only 24, and would love to find out about my ancestors.

I will see what I can find regarding your great uncle in the 463rd BG, including any additional pictures I might come across in our archives.

One thing I can provide is the Missing Air Crew Report for the Gowen crew (transcribed or original version).  Currently I am going through the Loading Lists (that I could find) for each mission of the 463rd and eventually could provide you with a listing of the crew members he flew with on each mission.  It may have varied somewhat, depending upon the mission requirements and it is almost assured that he flew on several different planes as well.  I'll see what I can find for you.
